G.T. Moore | Wild Flowers

Wild Flowers

Have you seen the morning glory
Pale as the crescent moon
It has no time to tell it's story
It's born at dawn and it's gone by noon

Love has no come and love has gone
Leaving behind it's shadow
We thought it was forever ours
But then it died, like wild flowers
Wild flowers

The Heather ciles in its purple glow
To atay a whole year through
It sleeps a while when the cold wind blows
But every year it blooms anew

Love has no come and love has gone
Leaving behind it's shadow
We thought it was forever ours
But then it died, like wild flowers
Wild flowers

And now there comes the rose of the winter
Eerie as a ghost
When it flowers there is no other
But when it fades, it hurts the most

Love has no come and love has gone
Leaving behind it's shadow
We thought it was forever ours
But then it died, like wild flowers
Wild flowers
